Rally & March for Homeless Rights!

Sunday, July 14, 2022 | 3:00p

Presented by the Open Hearts Initiative and the Homeless Rights Month in NYC Coalition

3:00p - Sign Building and Family Friendly Chalking Before the Rally

3:30p - Rally at Carl Schurz Park, East End Avenue at East 86th Street

This Sunday, join homeless New Yorkers and allies for a Homeless Rights Month rally and march at Carl Schurz Park, calling on the city to stop the sweeps, fast-track housing, and provide privacy and dignity in shelters. Details are below, and a flyer is attached.

As the awful recent stabbings of folks living on the streets remind us, there's a big gap between the city's rhetoric and the realities that our homeless neighbors continue to face. Join us on Sunday to stand in solidarity with New Yorkers experiencing homelessness and to tell the Mayor we need REAL action to end homelessness--not just continued stigma and efforts to sweep folks out of sight.
