The event capacity has been reached.  We are working with our partners and the venue to increase the capacity.  Patrons who are interested in purchasing tickets may join the waitlist.  We will notify everyone by Noon on the event day if we have been able to add capacity to the event.

The afternoon extravaganza will benefit the work of helpNYC, the leading peer-led organization that has connected over 200,000 underserved New Yorkers to public health and social services in New York City!

Your ticket purchase will go towards the work to end food insecurity, homelessness, substance use, and mental health challenges New Yorkers face.  

For every dollar you donate, helpNYC can expand that to over six dollars of value with the help of its mission partners.

Candy Samples

Candy Samples is the singing/songwriting drag phenomenon, having performed in NYC for 20+ years. Most widely known for her shows at Albatross Bar, she’s also graced the stages of The Duplex, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, and the former Sidewalk Café. Her new full-length album of original music, “Bittersweet” was released in 2022 to rave reviews. 

Her singles, Bear Season, Queen of the Bears, and Sweet Scandal can be found on all streaming and download platforms. Candy is no stranger to using her Powers for Good, working with AIDS Walk NY (GMHC), Braking AIDS Ride (Housing Works), CrescentCare, and Queens Pride, and encouraging her audiences to get out in their communities and make the world a better place!

Housing Works Book Store & Cafe

For over a decade, Housing Works Bookstore has established itself as a New York downtown institution and tourist destination. Nearly all of our stock is donated, and we are staffed with the support of volunteers, so 100% of our profits go to fund Housing Works' lifesaving services. 

Check out their calendar for special events or stop by to shop books, media, gifts, as well as a curated selection of thrift clothing and housewares. The Bookstore & Cafe prides itself in being a great place to shop and meet friends for a coffee or glass of wine. The one-of-a-kind space is available for rent, and we host weddings and special events almost every weekend.
