About helpNYC:

www.helpnyc.org/who-we-are

New York City has one of the largest and extremely comprehensive public health and social service systems in the world, there are only a few, if any, challenges New Yorkers can’t get help with. However, that system of services and resources is extremely challenging to navigate for even the most resourceful of individuals.

The helpNYC.info Resource Navigator (www.helpNYC.info) is the first program of its kind to simplify the navigation of low-barrier services and resources in a person-first, system-second approach. helpNYC actively works to use technology, best practices, language, and other innovative methods to eliminate barriers and stigmas for those in need to access services, resources, and information from our programs.

About Housing Works Bookstore & Cafe:

For over a decade, Housing Works Bookstore has established itself as a New York downtown institution and tourist destination. Nearly all of our stock is donated, and we are staffed with the support of volunteers, so 100% of our profits go to fund Housing Works' lifesaving services.

Check out their calendar for special events or stop by to shop books, media, gifts, as well as a curated selection of thrift clothing and housewares. The Bookstore & Cafe prides itself in being a great place to shop and meet friends for a coffee or glass of wine. The one-of-a-kind space is available for rent, and we host weddings and special events almost every weekend.
